Legal Action
Doctors for America v. Office of Personnel Management
Filed in: U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia
Summary
A physician advocacy nonprofit and a city government sued the Trump-Vance administration to challenge the removal of government websites containing medical information for the public. The plaintiffs argue the defendants violated the Paperwork Reduction Act as well as the Information Quality Act by failing to disseminate critical public health information and datasets in a timely and accessible manner. The plaintiffs request the court declare the removal of government public health websites unlawful and order the websites to be restored.
On July 2, 2025, a district court entered an opinion granting parts of plaintiffs’ motion for summary judgment and ordering the restoration of some websites. On August 1, 2025, this case was terminated.
