Legal Action

Thien Le is an immigrant from Vietnam and expectant mother living in California on an H-4 visa. Le sued the Trump-Vance administration in an attempt to block President Trump’s Executive Order 14160, which denies birthright citizenship to children born in the U.S. whose parents are not citizens or lawful permanent residents. The plaintiff argues this order directly violates the 14th Amendment, which established birthright citizenship, and should be declared unconstitutional.
