Federal Grants Hub

The Federal Grants Hub helps partners navigate federal funding threats and legal challenges to unlawful federal grants actions. Resources are updated regularly and designed to help stakeholders understand the harm to communities across the country.

The Trump-Vance administration has launched an unprecedented assault on federal grants, weaponizing funding to coerce grantees, unilaterally terminating awards in violation of federal law, and withholding funds from critical programs. These efforts are having a devastating impact on vulnerable people and communities across the country.

Litigation has been a crucial tool in fighting back. But the administration’s lack of transparency in responding to legal challenges has created confusion for grantees, subgrantees, advocates, lawyers, and others working in this area.

To help stakeholders understand and respond to this crisis, Democracy 2025 has launched the Federal Grants Hub, focused on providing:

  • Comprehensive tracking of threats to federal funding and unlawful grants actions.
  • Legal challenge updates in plain language, regularly updated.
  • Practical tools to help grantees and advocates navigate the evolving landscape.

This Federal Grants Hub is a living resource and will be updated on a regular basis.
